So what got done?
I am happy to say that I got through at least all of the bugs which were listed in the last post, plus a few that weren’t. Unfortunately, I didn’t add all of the new features, but at least I made a new attempt at balancing the game out.
Here a list of the items fixed/amended in the v1.6 update:
- Fixed ‘start credit’ perk bug (if you had this perk and tombstoned the app, upon restoring you’d gain it again stacking the effect)
- Fixed: all ‘level won awards (this happened if you started one level immediately after winning/losing a level
- Fixed ‘selling’ issue on morter teams (you could sell the mortar lvl1 for more than you purchased it).
- Statistics screen ‘back-button’ added (raised by MS and the reason I had to release v1.6 today)
- Fixed: RPGs now shoot air units
- Missiles now have a cool new sound effect
- Fixed ‘Game Won : Congratulations’ screen appearing on Lushington Springs level even when you lose.
- Fixed: MG lvl II&III now have sounds
Regarding the balancing:
- Increase all air tower ranges (plus RPG range).
- Turret rounds fire at much higher velocity so they hit more often
- Missile and Lancer damage are much more balanced and are now effective
- Flamer now has slightly less damage but over a wide area (i.e splash damage)
- Revised the cost of many towers and especially the tower upgrades
And here are the things which didn’t make it this time. This was mostly a question of time, so I’ll have another look next week:
- Tower Guide (Added all the code, but still need to do a little write-up for each tower)
- Difficulty Settings (just not enough time – need to shuffle the menu screens around a little)
- Email the author link
Hope you enjoy the game after the update is available on the phone.
Thanks

How did you manage to complete the canyon level??? lol… I lose half my lives on the 1st wave!
15 in cash.. and can only buy one hut! and the wave consists of 13 infantry heading for me!
My tactics are obviously crap!
Tips please??? ;-p

I advise you to replay previous levels with the goal of winning awards : finish with only tier 1, tier 2 or tier 3, or finish without upgrading, etc.
With this few awards won, you will be granted a few perks that can highly help you (I choose myself to upgrade damages first, then rate of fire).
after a few tries, I barely finished the canyon level.
However, I’ve also the bug that does not grant me the award for having passed this level… and the next one is too difficult

Hi Zehlein,
Yes, unfortunately that was one bug which I’ve had in the game for a few updates, but at least I finally managed to fixed. It actually took me the longest find because it only happens when you start a map directly after finishing one (regardless of if you won or lost).
The fix was quite simple, but hopefully now everyone will beable to win these awards (of course, you’ll still need to win the levels).
thanks,

Finished the canyons level again today (ver. 1.6) but still no luck with the award. More research needed on your side I’m afraid
Tell me if I can be of help somehow…

Hi,
another bug: when you select a tower, the potential updated range and reload values are identical the current (the damages is ok).

My apologees that the end of level achievement bugs are STILL in the game. I will work on this in the next few days and submit an update to MS this weekend to finally fix them.
I have already eased the canyon level’s difficulty a little in the opening waves – so you should be just able to manage these by vigilantly upgrading Amittedily this is a little hard at the minute.
I’m also contemplating releasing the next update with a small change to the ‘start credits’ perk to give more money. Still on the fence about this though as people have already completed the game. Plus, don’t want you to think I#ve gone soft … Blog post to follow
